PREKURE Certified Metabolic Health Coach and Strength Trainer
I am Ingrid, a professional Metabolic Health and Nutrition Coach with a degree in Psychology. I’ve seen firsthand how preventable illness can cut lives short or slowly take away independence and vitality. My father died from complications of metabolic syndrome, and my mother from Alzheimer’s. Experiencing the impact of chronic disease up close became the catalyst for my transition into metabolic health coaching.
Through my studies I discovered how powerful improving metabolic health can be in preventing disease and protecting quality of life.
I help people in mid-life who are ready to take their health seriously; so they can age with strength, clarity, and confidence.
Getting older shouldn’t mean slowing down, giving up on our appearance or stopping the things we love doing. Especially when we have the power to shape our own health trajectory.
My mission is to educate and empower people to live better for longer.
More and more scientific studies are revealing a link between metabolic health and chronic diseases like cancer, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and dementia.
Luckily there are lifestyle changes we can make in terms of how we eat, move and rest that can have a significant effect on our metabolic health, body composition and overall health.
We’ll work together one-on-one to create a plan that fits your unique biology, lifestyle, and goals. But this isn’t just about following a plan, it’s about understanding why it works. I’ll help you build the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices, so you feel in control of your health, not reliant on someone else to manage it. You’ll have ongoing support, accountability, and a clear path forward; plus the tools to make this transformation truly your own.
You’ll learn how to make smarter, more enjoyable food choices that support energy, weight loss, and long-term health. Most important of all you won't feel deprived, and that is the key to achieving sustained weight loss and good metabolic health.
We explore the importance of when you eat, not just what you eat, highlighting how hormones like insulin and glucagon regulate blood sugar and energy in response to carbohydrate, fat, protein, and even alcohol.
As we move into our 40s and beyond our approach to exercise needs to evolve. Physical activity remains one of the most powerful tools for health, but it no longer needs to be high-intensity or time-consuming to be effective. I’ll guide you through an exercise framework designed specifically for your age and goals. You’ll know exactly what to do, how often to do it, and how to progress safely and effectively with no guesswork and no burnout.
Restorative sleep is where your body and brain repair, rebalance, and prepare you to perform at your best. But as life gets busier (and our biology shifts with age), quality sleep doesn’t always come naturally. I’ll break down the latest science on sleep into simple, actionable insights so you understand what your body needs and how to support it. You’ll learn how to build habits and routines that restore deep, consistent sleep; which is essential for weight loss, energy and disease prevention.
Learn how your body's internal clocks, called circadian rhythms, influence metabolism, recovery, and hormone balance. When these rhythms are aligned, through the correct timing of light, meals and movement, your body runs more efficiently, making it easier to lose fat, sleep deeply, and feel energised.
Stress can take a toll on your health and in particular your weight loss goals. However small, controlled doses of physiological stressors such as heat and cold therapy can be beneficial for improving our resilience to 'life stress'. I help you develop healthy stress management strategies to improve your body's overall resilience to stress.
